go to the website posted below to find out about E-15 (ethanol)...making ethanol is one reason why dog food has been going up...what doesn't make sense is why we use something so corrosive that it can't even be transported by pipeline...has to be moved by train or 18 wheeler which also consumes energy...by time they disc, plow, plant, cultivate, fertilize and then harvest the corn I believe we are using as much fuel to produce the corn...then having to convert it to ethanol and then transporting it to the pump...by time all that happens we spent more energy trying to create energy...kinda like shooting ourselves in the foot on this one...  :o  rolleyes

Ethanol is purely politically driven. Politicians can appeal to farmers and the green energy people.

 more governmental rape on the working class, forcing their bio fuel down our throats. i wish they would drink every once of ethonol made and share with the green tree loving a-holes.

The worst part about it is corn is actually one of the lower sources of ethanol. Rice is a better source when u figure pound for pound return of ethanol. A even better source is sugar cane. Corn is the one that's pushed because that is what the mid west pushed for. Corn tho is one of the most versitile crops for producing it. The amount of acres of corn grown has more than increased enough to cover the amount needed for ethanol on top of what's needed for feed. The drought over the last few years with the added demand has created the price increase. One or 2 years of good conditions will flood the market and prices will go to nothing.

They want that crap ruining our engines so we have to buy cars more often, they hope it will help sales at GM and dodge(ie govt motors)
