Title: Dove's...
Post by: Reuben on January 04, 2013, 07:53:15 am
this morning I am looking out to my dog kennels...and out in the back yard I see quite a few of those large silver gray ring necked doves...as I look I see 4 morning doves in the mix...but on the power line coming to the house I see a darker gray dove that looks bigger than a morning dove but smaller than those ring necked doves...he flies down with the other doves and I see he is a white winged dove...

I have started to see a few white winged doves around here every now and then in the last few years...those ring necked doves have moved in in the last 10 to 15 years...

reuben, ringnecks a great eating, just like a mourning or whitewing but bigger! get ya some onion, jalopenos and cream cheese and wrap all that up inside some good thick bacon.......when the bacon is done dinner is ready! when we cook em it seems like it doesn't matter if we cook 20 or 200 they are gone quick fast and in a hurry, they are a big hit around these parts!

Check the book but I don't think there are any restrictions on ring necks
