Title: NEED HELP! Post by: Dogs, hogs, coons on January 05, 2013, 04:05:34 pm My strike gyp got poked in the face by a 250 lb boar with some nice 2 1/2 - 3" cutters about a week and a half ago, it wasn't big enough to stitch up and was maybe half an inch. It's right on the bottom of the jaw. So I did what I usually do, just flush it out with water and spray vetricine on it and gave her a 3cc penicillin shot. The next day the whole left side of her face was swollen. I had to open up the scap and milked all the pus out. I've had to keep doing this every other day if not everyday. She acts fine but doesn't wanna hunt bcuz of it. Any help would be greatly appreciated
