Title: Hogs rooting up pipeline ( opinions ) Post by: Swine-Stalker on January 08, 2013, 02:17:12 pm There is group of pigs rooting up our pipeline (fenced in valve cage) and messing up the area where the pipeline crew drives. I was approached by management of my company to create a solution to stop the rooting no shooting, and no running dogs. I told them trapping will only work until the next group moves in, then you are back to the same problem. I figured a 4" thick limestone drive would be about the only option. If there is softer ground around the drive they should mess with the rocks since it would be to much work to get food. Do you think the limestone will work, if not what are some other methods to stop the rooting?

I have been trying to run this place for a couple years and can't catch a break. It is in New Orleans East and from what I heard it is pretty much impossible to run this area. With that they also said I would have to gain permission from the levee board and one border is the bayou savage wildlife refuge. But, I won't give up until I die. You could definitely stack them up at this place.

Yall bound to be tired of working in the mud and water any ways. The hogs won't root it up because there will be no reason to.
