Title: RIP Gator
Post by: T-Bob Parker on January 13, 2013, 09:08:06 pm
Some of y'all may still remember a friend of mine who used to be a member on here under the name Critter Catcher. Well we have had a good long run of catching some good hogs over the last couple years and have had the great blessing of hunting good talented dogs and not having too many real bad injuries.

Well as fate would have it, luck ran out today for one good ol dog who Kevin called Gator.
Gator was a talented, smart and hard working dog who's good tight bay and juking moves held many a good hog at bay as we came to them. He was not just another bay dog but was a find dog as well.

I'm not 100% positive on his exact parentage but he was a foundation dog. I believe he had some western hellkat and a few others.

Gator is out of Wrights rio concho X CO's cindy. I dont know alot of info on conchos line but he was sent to mr robert benson as an outcross. Cindy goes back 2 bensons ben X bensens eve. Ben is outa bounty hunter X little bobbie. I cant recall exactly who eve is out of but if i remember correctly its big mack X little bobbie. I no cindy carries 68% little bobbie blood. I sold gator 2 kevin when he was about a year and a half ta 2 yrs old. He was really starting 2 make a nice dog. I hate 2 hear he pasted. Several of the pups outa that litter turned out really nice. That was the first cross i had ever made and was really pleased with the results.

Rio concho! That's who it was, thank you. Well I tellyou what, that was a good bayin dog for sure!! Among the registered dogs I've seen, he sure was a horse of a different color.

Thanks again fir straightening that up
