I feed Diamond high energy to the strike dogs that I hunt regular. I feed my bull dogs and young dogs the Sportsmix in the white and orange bag. It works good and it's expensive to feed 18 dogs Diamond .

I've tried everything from retriever to diamond to purina to victor to lonestar and none of em worked for me, either the dogs looked good and chit everywhere or they looked like chit.....i feed and have been feedibg sportsmix for over a yr. Im a true believer in black bag sportsmix, it gave my dogs another gear and they all look great.

I feed IAMS proactive.  It gives my dogs enough cover without making them fat.  My breeding dogs recover condition faster on it and their coats look nice too.

I feed The Pride. Orange bag(26/20) and black bag(24/ 16-18) I switch to orange when the dogs are getting too lean, or if I'm about to get into working them or getting a female ready for breeding. I also feed the pride puppy(30/20) to gestating females or nursing females. I feed orange bag to pups( puppy food has too much of everything for fast growing bulldogs) and just supplement calcium. I also fed raw chicken( feet, liver, gizzards, hearts), beef( feet, bones, liver, tripe)pork(feet, liver, snouts and ears, brains when I can find them) fish( gutted whole) and veggies( pumpkin, sweet potatoes,  greens, raw garlic,) and most recently unfiltered apple cider vinegar. granted , they don't eat all of this stuff everyday, but I feed it to them when I can find it cheap. Makes for healthy dogs.

Fed diamond high energy for bout a year now but tired of NASTY stools so bought black sportmix today sure looks and smells better.

Does anyone know why diamond does their stool so nasty?

back in the 1980's I used to feed a dog food that was sold under the name "JOY" dog food and it was a good dog food at that time...Seems like it made the dogs coats have kind of a sweet smell to them and the stools didn't smell as bad as other dog foods...

I wonder if it is still being sold out there?

Sport mix in the black bag was nice but job changed and ain't got the money for that anymore. I buy Ol Roy red bag from Walmart and my dogs ha e never looked so good! Fed diamond HE and they jus lost weight. I hunt 3-4 times a week no less then 4 hrs a hunt. For the money Ol Roy's is good for me and its a 50lbs bag 17-18$.  ;D

U feed the high protein or regular red bag? My buddy feeds the normal red bag and his dogs look good

I jus feed the regular red bag. And my dogs look great! This is my redtick and lead dog. Put 20 pounds of muscle on him with the Ol Roy red bag, and nothing else. (http://i1357.photobucket.com/albums/q748/jaredholland87/6C455D9C-E861-41AF-B214-BB928B38F846-4919-0000052DCEDDB6E5_zps8db32ab5.jpg)
No matter what u feed, you have too make sure the dogs are worm free! U can feed em all u want but if they have worms it won't matter what u feed em, they won't gain weight or look solid.
