Title: Problems with garmin 320 Post by: BthomasM on February 15, 2013, 06:53:09 pm Heard a lot of people are having trouble losing signal and battery running down on the garmin 320. Want the Birdseye view so the 320 is what I'm wanting. Any of y'all having any problems out of your 320?

Title: Re: Problems with garmin 320 Post by: Shotgun wg on February 17, 2013, 04:18:17 pm Keep plenty of batteries and use the long antenna that comes with unit. Replace factory antenna on collars with long range. A set of batteries last me one hunt. I keep a package of 10 or so in my bag. I did also get the extendable long range antenna for my unit incase I need it.

Agree on the antenna just put the long range on I had my dogs at 1.5 before I lost and had to put the longer range on and picked up at 2 + miles and they have original antennas on their collars

Title: Re: Problems with garmin 320 Post by: firemedic on February 19, 2013, 07:47:21 pm You pick out the areas that you hunt and download them onto your 320. You have unlimited access to this for one year with your subscription to the Birdseye download. You should be able to get most everywhere you hunt put into it in a year. I put almost all my places the first time I used it. I cannot explain just how helpful this feature is to anyone running dogs. Don't be intimidated by it either,....there are vids on youtube showing you how to download it.......if I can do it anyone can. You will never regret it....oh, and get one of those extendable folding antennas for the 320, yes it's not as tough as the original, but it works great, I haven't had to get out my long range antenna since I got this one.
