Title: 3-3-13 Hunt Post by: Mike on March 03, 2013, 06:37:40 pm Peaches, his wife, Robert and I went to a new place Peaches picked up about a month back. We took turns casting dogs and came up empty the first couple of hours. We moved on to another spot on the lease, Robert turned out Obama and two young dogs out of him. The pups went deep one way and Obama was hunting the woods opposite from where they went. He opened a couple of times and I cut Hunter to him... first hog was bayed about 500 yards out. Got it tied, I looked at my Garmin and Hunter was already 900 yards and rolling. He finally came bayed about a 1 1/4 miles from us. It took about an hour or so to get around to him... 600 yards was as close as we could get. Walked in and the hog broke... went another .88 miles and bayed again. We had to walk out and drive all the way around to get to him. Luckily we were able to drive within a 150 yards of Hunter. Sent some young dogs to him and hog number two was caught... so we called it a day.
