is that contraption attached to the muffler one of those devices that reduces the noise?  If so how well does it work.

Its just a snorkel for the exhaust. They just weld a longer pipe onto the the end of the muffler so if the bike dies while the muffler is under water it does not suck water back into the motor. SOme times you have to rejet the bike.

yeah on the red bike it acually is the only muffler the factory one rusted out cause of the salt marsh down here .So i welded a long pipe on and ran it out right there to make it easy to fit that muffler ,so it wouldn't be too loud .But it also serves as a snorkle.

By the way,  we learned the hard way that you have to make sure the tracking unit isn't in the saddlebags when you decide to take the wheeler swimming.
:O)

Its hard to stay balanced when you got a water wheelie going. In the pic I almost lost it and went for a swim.... hit some old ruts. :D

Its cool that yall can get that many people together on private land and not have any problems. :)

Sean,
Somthing that serves no purpose, hmmmm .................I am at work RIGHT NOW!!!!!!!

When I was a few years younger I tore up 4-wheelers, motorcycles, trucks and myself.  I am done with that kind of shananigan.  I prefer a peacful day in the woods with my dogs.   I start thinking about somthing before I do it now and realize if I break my leg or somthing then I am out of a lot of things and I let down the people that depend on me and let my dogs down, reminds of of a quote " I wish I was half the man my dogs think I am".......TO EACH HIS OWN.

Guy's I know that this is a little off topic, but not too far off

I lost my father this past October. He was 61. Too young to die. He still had things that he wanted to do in his life.  He worked his butt off for his family. Overtime? If it was offered he took it. I did not want for anything growing up. He did his job as a father. Sure he had some hobbies, but work got in the way TOO often.

I decided to get my priorities straight. I am going to enjoy life. I used to get off of work at 5:00, then drive 140 miles pick up 300 bales of hay, drive back 140 miles. Go to sleep, work the next day, then when I got off of work, unload hay at the feed stores. All that to make a little extra money.

It was not worth it to me. I now work to live, I do not live to work.  Four wheelers? got em. Horses? got em. Hunting dogs? got em. Plenty of hobbies that I enjoy. When I stop enjoying them, I will move on.

We try to do enough good things that we  don't feel selfish. We will take time off this Friday, to take horses, ponies, and goats to the local elementary school for the kids to see. It will be the highlight of their week at school, and only takes up a few hours of our time. There is only 24 hours in each day. How do you want to spend it?

In summary, everybody has to decide for themselves what their priorities are. Remember the ant and the grasshopper? I want to be somewhere in the middle. Be responsible, but have fun doing it ;D

Chris. I feel the same way, I lost my dad at 56 to lung cancer, he didn't have much but what he did have was paid for... house, cars ect. he lived in Kilgore and worked part time to pay for the small stuff, water bills, electric bills, food, ect. He did what he wanted when he wanted. I have made some bad choices in life and I also pay $800 a month in child support. As soon as I get caught up ,I too will be working to live insted of living to work.
