Title: Nice Boar
Post by: POTTER on March 06, 2013, 06:05:28 pm
Took my brother out for a quick hunt Saturday morning. We were casting at the waterholes with no luck and were about to call it quits when Goose rigged off the platform and he was gone with Thor right behind him. Goose opened up for a second and quit. Thor came running back to the truck and it showed Goose at 900 yards on the garmin. I loaded Thor up and we drove within 300 yards on the garmin and shut the truck off. Sure enough Goose was baying his butt off. We dropped the dogs and I led Rhino the catchdog in. We got within a hundred yards and you could see the dust flying and dogs getting thrown in the air through the mesquites. I cut Rhino loose and before he got there the hog broke down to a ravine about two hundred yards away with dogs right behind him. They caught up with the boar and it was game over. My brother made a good stick and Thor got de-throned by Goose as being my top dog. Enjoy!

I have taken my dogs to Midland a few times to some college friends ranches. Can be some rough country. Killed a bunch of hogs and twice as many rattle snakes. Good boar!!!!
