Title: Alumimun Welding?
Post by: Tusk Hog on March 24, 2013, 12:07:42 pm
For the guys out there building aluminum boxs. Are you using a tig or a spool gun. I've used a tig quite a bit years ago, and have done some with a push/pull gun. Guess my question, have they made the spool gun easier to use?

I've got a Miller Spool gun. It works great. I found that some aluminum wire is easier to weld with than others. I've got some 4043 wire that's very easy to weld with on stuff like boxes but if I'm welding on a boat I use 5356 because it's supposed to be non-corrosive.
