There are a few in our area that will let you adopt or "re-home" dogs for hunting but most wont. My hunting partner will even get phone calls from a few shelters around here if the dogs look like they have scars from pigs on them to see if he wants them or knows someone that would. But for the most part they despise us.

Just dont get it people that I know that hog hunt take a lot better care of their dogs than some I know that dont hog hunt just eirks me

The dogs that haven't worked for me have all gone to pet homes. Except the one I gave you. Some were better the average hog dogs too. Just didn't do what I expect. The local pound to me will let you adopt but the rescue wants to do interviews. Title: Re: did yall know Post by: Purebreedcolt on April 22, 2013, 07:16:34 pm Cantex forgot all about her she was an ok dog I gave her to a kid that shot over her did wel for h once she learned gun shots were not aimed for her she got into some type of poison that killed her and is vary severily missed this happened about a year ago
