Likes dislikes Post by: hoghound36 on May 18, 2013, 10:36:23 pm I've owned all kinds of dogs but never owned a blue lacy and I'm curious on what true well bred lacys are all abou n I'm sure there plenty on old timers on here that know there stuff n most likely could give a tip or 2 on the breeds training etc. so if anyone knows there lacys nd don't mind typing a bit please take some time too share please and thank you

Likes dislikes Post by: justincorbell on May 19, 2013, 05:15:45 am Lacy man has a pretty decent gyp.....i'll be honest she was pretty bad when she first started but she is a whole different dog now, she hasnt found a hog yet that I know of but she is a hell of a little help dog, she will shag ass to a bay when she hears the first bark and hates a hog. She is still young though, i think she will be findin them eventually

She is still young though, i think she will be findin them eventually Appreciate it, yea Lacys are different, most take longer to mature and like Justin mentioned she hasn't found her first hog yet but she's progressively gotten better every hunt, some mature faster than others but most from what I understand and have been around are late bloomers. I think between that and the mass breeding being done to sell a "state dog" has hurt the breed. Just do your hw there's some good ones out there just gotta hunt em. Be careful on the websites alot of smoke is blown on there and hardly any really working dogs like we all have. Title: Re: Blue Lacy who hunts em n who don't? Likes dislikes Post by: Freedom-Fighter00 on May 19, 2013, 08:25:14 pm I own a couple that are TLGDA regiesterd.I know that the pappers dont make em or break em.I love mine.My male is supper gritty and my female is more of a loose baying dog.I herd good and bad when I was buying them.I just figuerd I would take my chances.lol.I have been happy with them.
