Title: Hogtoberfest - Canton, TX Post by: elkaholic on August 26, 2007, 06:35:14 pm Just wanted to let anyone who might be interested know that we are having a hog dogg'n contest in Canton, TX. Dates are October 5-7, 2007.
This little event is not associated with a company, club or any organization - just trying to get an annual event going here in East Texas. We are having two divisions this contest. 1) Observer Division - Teams can hunt in this category ONLY if team bring an observer who can hunt with another team. The other teams observer will hunt with your team. Teams will have 10 hours hunting time (times to be worked out between observers and teams), this does not include travel time - this is dogs on the ground hunting. Teams can hunt anytimes between 3pm Friday afternoon - check-in 3pm Sunday afternon. (1) 10 hunt or (2) 5 hour hunts - doesn't matter, as long as observer and teams agree and keep it at the 10 hour dogs on the ground time limit. 2) Open Division - It is what it sounds like. Teams can hunt from 3pm Friday afternoon until check-in Sunday at 3pm. We will have same basic rules, just no observers. Hopefully all teams will be on the up and up. Entry fees - $100 per team Teams can only enter in (1) division. So basically, two seperate pots and two seperate competing groups. All moneys go back in pot for winning teams.
