Now that it's hot and the ants are back out how do all of you keep them out of your dogfood? I have tried everything!

Diazanone (sp ck) n seven dust usta work but aint worth a crap anymore. Im using permethian n its keepin them at bay from the storage bin. Dogs dont giv the ants time to even get a whiff of their food.

If you mean in your storage tub? Then put down ant dope and set your tubs in the dope.

X2 since seven dust went to a wimpy 5% it ain't worth using.

Not to get in your biz but Charles brought up a good point.....unless your feeding pups or attempting to recoope an under fed dog........shouldn't be any feed left in the bowl for ants to eat after feeding. If so.....might be over feeding em a bit.

Over and out had phipronil in it but doesn't any more. If u had some of it or just the straight chemical I would suggest putting it out around storage bin. Only other idea is airtight containers. Once they figure out they can't get in they will look elsewhere.

Get a plastic tote from Walmart and keep it in a shed or something like that that they can't get in regular raid poison should work if you spray it around the tub? The totes have lids

You can also use a trash can with a latching lid

X2.  I also sprinkle 7 dust around my feed bowls and regularly spray the outside of the pens with bug killer.

I use the walmart plastic container (with the locking sides) as well. It'll hold one bag of food at a time

If all else fails just get a bigger tub that is shallow. Put you food tup in the bigger one and out some water in it. You can out the food tub on cinder blocks in the bigger tub so it don't float. Ants don't swim.

I use termidor on any ant hill that pops up and I don't have ants.
