Title: dew claws Post by: redneckhogger0717 on June 30, 2013, 05:06:19 am I have a four month old double dew claw bmc and was wandering about getting the surgery to remove them
Just wandering what peoples opinion on dew claws or no dew claws was. Any advice would be great. Title: Re: dew claws Post by: MrsLouisianaHogDog on June 30, 2013, 11:17:21 am Sometimes you'll never have an issue with 'em, but depending on your terrain, they can get ripped/torn/snagged. When they do, they bleed a lot usually. A lot of folks just leave 'em be, but if/when I ever have any litters born and they have 'em I go ahead and remove them when they're a couple days old just to be done with it.

He had his dogs fall in a frozen lake and the ones with on were able to grip and pull them selves out. I know it does not really effect me(never gets that cold), but it did get me thinking.
