is there a all in one pill or something that kills most of it on the dogs. if not what do yall use for worms because i cant seem to find what i was using at the feed store anymore

Drontal tabs are fantastic

i use safeguard wormer. and i use flea dip to get rid of the fleas. iv tried all kinds of sprays and stuff but haven't had any luck with the ones iv tried. the dip keeps them clean for a couple weeks

Trifexis but its pricey and through a vet. Kills intestinal worms, heart worms, and all flea for a month. Within two hours they will be flea free

at a vet how much does it cost ( trifexis ) and how many come in the package

My vet charged me 67$ for a six months supply (6pills) but I have hear people paying as much as 180 for 6months. I think he also did a blood test for it which I'm sure some vets charge for. If you've got a good vet and can get it for a good price, I would definitely do it.

Yea it's pricey, I only use it on the house dog. Safeguard works great. just isn't a all in one. I use panacur for the kennels in a 3day routine, it's the same thing as safeguard and not a worm to be seen.

Tapeworms come from fleas. Panacure or safeguard will not kill them.

I guess i have had good luck with panacur I guess. 3 days in a row and u see dead tapes in the stools. What do you use for tapes?

I got turned on to Fish Tape Forte for tape worms.  Its the same ingredient as whats in the tabs from the feed store but it can be bought off the net for WAY cheaper.  One tab will cure a 60lb cur dog.  I think i got 5 tabs off ebay for 6 bucks or something silly.

Gotta kill the fleas on the ground in their kennels n barrels or on there chains before you are not doing the dogs any justice!

Permethrin on the ground 1 once ever 14 day for a month n half you will break the cycle dip the dog everytime you do it for month n a half you will get rid of fleas and ticks! I worm with Ivromectin and safeguard!

you are correct strongid horse wormer works great 1cc per 20lbs for 3 or 4 days will take kare of it

  Strongid will not kill both types ether. You want to use prizaqintal (sp) . Use your normal wormer the one of the above listed and treat tapes as they appear.

warren must have paid you to much when you worked with him to be able to afford that. man oh man! I gave mine a comfortis pill about 2 and half months ago and have not seen a flea since. i think it was $15 a pill. figured i would wait till i  see fleas before i gave another.

Isnt the activ ingredient in flea pill ivermectrin?

That is what you give for heartworms...they probably wouldn't put it in a flea pill unless it was for heartworms as well and I would guess there would be another active ingredient such as permethrin which is basically frontline. Although I have cured skin parasites such mange with ivermectin so it might help for all I know...

Get rid of fleas, spray pens/kennels twice a month or so with permethin.

Bathe in dawn soap, Then get your dogs comfortis pills, I paid $20 a pill for 4 dogs. Best money ever spent on fleas, and yes they become flea killing machines. My vet required me to bring dogs in, but he didnt charge me for exam, so just depends on your vet.

Fleas cause tapeworms. Get rid of fleas and use a preventative wormer and you will be good. My worming routine Constists of 1 month Zimectrin GOLD, next month Ivomec, Next month Zimectrin Gold, Next month Ivomec Etc.... If you get a tape you cant clear get some fish tapes.


Pretty simple and cheap, To keep your dog healthy. Do some research there's tons of info on fleas and worming routines on here. Its been explained over an over hahaha. 

x2   Comfortis is the stuff. I don't spray the yard or bathe the dogs. Just give them another round after I start seeing fleas (3 months last time). Like you said the dogs become flea killing machines. They are flea free in a matter of hours and the whole yard is flea free in about a week.
