Title: 385lb Barr Post by: got2catchem on July 31, 2009, 10:52:20 am Went out yesterday morning with Joseph(Hickory Flats) and his buds Baker, Mondo, and Shay. We all met around 6am and it was pouring down rain. When it cleared up a bit, we turned out the dogs. We hunted until we struck up this big fella. We got him caught and tied ;). After thinking about it, I went ahead and stuck him. (Rex's stick and move tactics may have rubbed off on me) He put a good whooping on a bulldog and cut one of my strike dogs pretty good. Both dogs are looking like they are going to be fine. Something to add to the story.... ;D We had a pretty good scare and then laugh, when we got back to the truck. I was patching up my dog on the tailgate and at the first sign of blood, we had a guy pass out right next to me. He made a moan and then all I saw was boots on the ground by the tire :o ;D We ended up weighing the hog and he went 385lbs.

It scored a 708.875 WWT in the barr free range weight class, which if everything is current, would put it in 2nd place. We had a hard time getting ahold of an official scorer and I didnt want to score my own hog (conflict of interest...lol) A big thanks to my buddies who were looking up the numbers for me. We ended up taking it down to Caney Creek Lodge and Justin Bounds scored it.
