Title: Hogs crossing highway roads in SW FL Post by: hoghunter71409 on July 27, 2013, 11:36:32 am I live in Central Louisiana, may dad lives in Southwest FL. I talked to him last night and he was telling how many hogs he sees on the sides of the road every morning on his way to work. He has a 67 mile drive one way to work. He said that he waits at a stop sign every morning and waits for an 18 wheeler. He pulls in behind the 18 wheelers and stays behind them until he gets to his exit in order to use the 18 wheeler as a blocking device. He told me a couple times a week he sees where a hog was crossing the road and a motor vehicle struck the hog. He said he estimates that he sees almost 30-50 hogs a day on the sides of the roads just rooting under trees.
