EAST TEXAS HOG DOGGERS FORUM

Well today I made it to the top of the hill-mountain.  The big 40 has caught me.  I sure hope I make it 40 more.  Things have defiantly changed the last few years, I now walk to the bay instead of run, now I sit and drink coffee and let the dogs hunt, instead of hunting the dogs.  I'm not saying I can't keep up, just hope I'm getting smarter!  I used to run to the bay catch the hog and then ask buddies what dogs were their?  Now I walk stop and listen and most of the time can tell you what is going on a couple of hundred yards before I get their.  I now like to video when that is an option, and often just sit back and watch dogs bay 10-20 minutes before catching a hog.  Used to hunt at nite, now that isn't happening.  It's not near as much about catching hogs as it is watching the dogs hunt-bay- watching the catch dog do their job!  If I need a flashlight to hunt it's to load the dogs before daylight.   
I have defiantly started spend more time in church and less in dance halls, more money on vitamins, and less on beer.  I also plan to take way better care of myself, so I can keep walking to the bays instead of having to get a power chair!  Lol
And for you young guys!   Ill still be walking all day when you'll are miles behind me sucking wind, and texting your girlfriend, talking about how this old guy out did you!    Lol

Ain't that the truth.  I crawl out of bed and stretch so I can walk, streatch before bed so maybe I can sleep with help of bengay and alive.

That aint no chit. I'm 50 and wake up with a different hurtin everyday. I was good till I hit them 40's

Happy birthday, I know what you mean I just hit 41 July 23.

At my age, I call 40 year olds young people! Just keep plugging along. Keep in mind that the older you get, the less young people want to be around you. Guess they worry about you falling out on them! Enjoy life, no matter what age you are, it is a gift from God.

Happy b day your right when you hit 4o things change but most aren't bad the little stuff you use to get up set at just pass by the river. I came up super hard dirt poor family spent 8 yrs as a young man trying to out do every one I could in the army was 11 b came out doing the same for no good now i am 44 and everything I got hurts lol sounds like you got it going on brother good luck to your new found wisdom.
