Title: dog eyes Post by: Gunner Dog on March 05, 2008, 12:30:26 pm My red bone's right eye has had yellowish puss coming out of it for the last three or four days. At first I was thinking it was from allergies but you never know. It's not alot, just little balls, but I wipe them off four or five times a day.

I researched and asked around and came up with 2 possible causes...worms or eye infection. Not wanting to take any chances, I wormed them immediately and ordered a tube of Terramycin Ophthalmic Ointment (you put it in their eyes) from Amazon.com for about $15 bucks after shipping. I can't tell you which one worked because I did them both pretty close. However, I swear the worming cleared most of it up before the ointment arrived. I hope this helps...I am sure your dogs don't have the problem anymore, but if it happens again..... :)
