Title: Smiling dogs Post by: Swine-Stalker on August 24, 2013, 02:54:11 pm I know this was posted before, but I had gotten off of the dog that smiled. I was working on the hunting rig today and letting my 7mo old pup get some running in and after 30mins or so he ran up to me smiling for the first time... Now when I approach him he smiles... So lets post some smiling dog pics

As a kid, I remember one of my dads buddies that they would joke he could teach any dog to do it with enough time Title: Re: Smiling dogs Post by: rdjustham on August 24, 2013, 05:18:25 pm Just going off what i see in the pic, but body posture sure looks to me like that dog aint smiling.

Title: Re: Smiling dogs Post by: Mike on August 24, 2013, 06:40:26 pm Ha ha... watch out Cody, he's gonna get you!
Matt's old Smiley gyp was like that... scared a lot of people, but wouldn't hurt a flea. Title: Re: Smiling dogs Post by: Swine-Stalker on August 24, 2013, 07:41:27 pm That's how this one is mike. The reason why he is crouched and lying down is his handle. When he is 3-5 feet from me he lays down and belly crawls to me

Ill go put a bullet in him now Easy bud i wasnt there i only stated my observations "based sey on the pic" you were there you know what the dog was doing. Look at the pic from an unbiased view point, better yet look t it ad if it were a stray and tell me what ud be thinkin. I never said whack it, i wasnt there. No harm/insult meant. Title: Re: Smiling dogs Post by: Hutch33 on August 24, 2013, 08:17:15 pm Have a dog, Daisy, that has been "dog smiling" for years now. It's pretty funny, usually does it when she starts to get excited. Nice picture!
Title: Re: Smiling dogs Post by: Swine-Stalker on August 24, 2013, 08:26:23 pm Nothing was directed at you. Questioning his posture along with it is fine. Someone saying might need to cull it based off posture in a picture is got me chapped. I think even a dumb dog man is smart enough to know when his dog is smiling or snarling and should deal with is how he sees fit. You run your yard ill run mine sort of thing.
Title: Re: Smiling dogs Post by: Purebreedcolt on August 24, 2013, 08:32:31 pm Lol I had a pit that would smile a guy on here in arkansas has her now. Now the first time or 2 I seen her do it I will say I was a little hesitant lol. My dad had a big lacy/ridgeback that smiled and she made more than one person think twice lol.

Title: Re: Smiling dogs Post by: UNDERDOG on August 26, 2013, 10:51:33 am Its genetic. If you breed one like that it can show up in pups later. But look it up it is for sure genetic. I got a red bitch pup here, whose momma "smiles" for certain folks when she's happy to see them....and sure enough...my lil pup smiles at me even harder than her momma does, lol. Far as I know, she's the only one in her litter though that does it. |
