Title: Switching from Sportmix 24/20 to 26/18
Post by: hoghunter71409 on August 26, 2013, 07:08:35 pm
I am considering switching from Sportmix 24/20 to the Sportmix 26/18.  If you are feeding the 26/18 or if you have fed the 26/18 I would like your input.  I think my dogs have the best weight and coat with the right 26/18.

I feed the 26/18... I keep all my dogs lean anyways, but I am constantly cutting back on several dogs to keep them from getting fat... I feed less of it than I did with victor, diamond or anything else..

I'm satisfied with it...

I fed sportsmix 26/18 in the hot months and 24/20 in the cold months but both got too expensive so I feed diamond high energy now...quite a bit cheaper in my neck of the woods...

I accidentally bought a bag today didn't realize it till I got home so I'll give it a shot, but don't I need to get my nursing bitch a higher fat content feed?

I would...and make sure she has all the water she can drink available to her and feed her as much as she needs...she loses quite a bit in feeding a litter of pups...

I appreciate the info, I think I'll pick up a couple bags and give it a shot.

I feed it to my dogs, I feed less of it because my dogs seem to get fat on it...
