Who has heard of these dogs?  I saw some pics. & video of some 4 month old pups baying a cow & they were doing it right.

I think they are cow dogs.  From what I remember they are cat, heeler, and some sort of shepherd (I could be wrong).  They peeked my intrest as well, but after looking int o them figured they're better off doin what they were bred for???

I'd like to know, as well, if anyone has tried them on hogs

yep they are just a crossed up cow dog with no real consistency to the line . they are aggressive on rough cattle . I don't know how good a hog dog they would make . I don't think they have a whole lot of nose to them . but they will make a mean ol cow get where it's supposed to be  .

I hunt with a guy that has a half hangin tree half catahoula that fallows our horses to a bay and catches when we get there. And also uses him as a cow dog. He'll make a cow that doesn't want to act rite change its mind!

A good friend of ours had a good hanging tree dog. He used it to work his bucking stock. His neighbor shot the dog a month ago and now he is looking to get another one. If any one knows of some please let me know. His dog was shipped in from out of state.

Have watched a siminar/ exhibition at Abilene, Texas a couple of times. His dogs will bay, but then they work like a border collie. Do remember that there was no consistency in the conformation of his dogs. Some were stocky, some small and slender. Most were merle in color that he was working that day. Guess the one thing that really stuck out in my mind was that they were herding in nature and worked more like a border colie, but with lots of bark.
