Title: Fly Tags?

I heard about people putting fly tags on there dogs collars to keep flea and tick off does anybody. know about this?

YES i DO THIS IT WORKS GREAT YOU CAN GET THEM AT MOST FEED STORES

I would suggest that you don't use them on or around puppies. They tend to chew on so many things and I have seen many get sick or even die from chewing and eating some of these collars.

I put them on my dogs to keep the flys off. I dont think it does anything for fleas or ticks. Do not put them on puppies in a pen with more then 1. If they chew them they will get very sick.

How do i put them on the collars?

Any method you want to use to secure it to the collar. The immagination is endless

I installed mine with zip ties . but like said and might need to be repeated , only on grown dogs !

I use zip ties also! great minds think alike  ;)

I have used them for a few yrs with no trouble. My vet saw one on one of my dogs this yr and told me to take them all off that I would end up killing one. Said he used to use them too. Sure enough I didn't listen and had a 2 yr old gyp get sick. Made an apt to get her checked out and she was dead when I went to get her. Don't know for sure that the tag did it but I cut all mine off my other dogs. I didn't take her in after the fact but have a feeling the tag didn't help

That's right there made for cows not dogs but I had a vet tell me it ruins there liver but if u want to use them still
Will post pics of the way I do blank tags with my name and number on them when hunting
