Title: Double Dew Claws Post by: slimhogdog on August 18, 2009, 02:37:08 pm What is the reason that some catahoulas have rear dew claws and even double dew claws on the rear legs? Just curious my buddy picked up a cat the other day with a dew claw on both hind legs and one leg had two of them.

i Cut all of mine off at birth! and they can be removed later.. i have seen them catch a dew claw and it was not Pretty... Title: Re: Double Dew Claws Post by: george on August 24, 2009, 08:28:34 am Dew claws can be removed very easily with an elastrator (the rubber bands used for castration and docking of sheep, cattle and goats) works sllick as anything. Be sure and give a tetanus antitoxin shot when you do it. Why pay a vet to do it when you can do it yourself for around $5 including the price of the tetanus shot.
