The dogs trailed this one for awhile Hershey sat down on him and they drove to him I videoed it....There were 4 loose bay dogs baying the hog the girls lead a 40lb catch dog in the thicket!!It was thick but just watergrass ans cactail thick walked about ten foot to the bay and sent Dontrell the catch dog.....Dontrell is a pup to my TJ dog who passed here the other day!!!Dontrell is 11 months has only caught 1 choate at a bay never seen  but 1 hog that was it !! Dontrell went straight in and caught this hog!!!There was only the 2 women and I was vidieoing the whole thing they caught and tied him and he sure was stout....They are getting it done!!!I am going to weigh him in the morning when it cools down on live scales!!!

Awhile !!!This girl is game she is tuff and willing to get in there!!They are planning some more hunts!! They are tryong to see how many they can catch on there own!!

Well if Chance posted all of the pictures of me that he wanted to the troll image would have appeared. Its hard to get a descent picture when you are covered in 10 different kinds of mother nature. If you know what I mean.  ;D Didn't have any pics in the mud on this round but we did get some video with us waist deep in the Trinity River. Think I would have rather been covered in mud.  ;)

I will let him post some more pictures of us but, as bad as I hate to admit it, I am still a girl and I don't care to have "troll" pictures of myself on the internet. The pictures that we posted today were marginal on getting on the web! :)

Hey LightinH, Chance left her at home today so that the other catchdog could get some training in under his collar. Now that I think of it though, that ole sorry rat Chance set me up. Not only did he not have to do anything but hold a camera today he has me training his catchdog so when he goes (after I've caught all his hogs  >:D :laugh:) his catchdog will almost be on automatic pilot! Didn't know the ole feller was so smart... I'll have to start keepin an eye on that guy! ;)

One day we'll get a women's hunt together. We definitely have more than enough ladies, and even though I'm pretty worthless and have a spoiled dog, I can take pictures ;)

"Chatty Kathy"    I had forgotten all about that until Crystal brought it up again last night. That was too funny.     Guys and gals, if you are ever in a position to have Crystal work on your dogs, stay on your toes...Or else she will let you have it..and then let you have it again two months later ;D

Now in all seriousness, I really appreciated y'all coming out and helping getting all the dogs lined out. The brands look good, and the hair was clipped nice and symmetrically ;)  I look forward to the day that we all get to hunt together.

     The crack head wine is ready to drink so we have some refreshments for your next trip down. ;D I just spoke with Chance and told him we need to put together a hunt in Flatonia.  Maybe the guys can hunt one ranch, and the girls can hunt another ranch... have a little friendly competition. We'll let the ladies hunt the shoat ranch so they don't get themselves in a bind :o :o

I hope yall got some dogs to use on the guy hunt!!!! She has been out messing with a colt that is a bronc!!!! The guy said he was going to give him away if he did not break in soon so she has been hammering him!30 minuites one way  then 30 miniutes the other in the heat and when your feet touch the stirups he breaks in to no matter how hot he is!!!!!She said she is not quieting him!!!So your answer is she warms my horses up for me!!lol ;D

OK Crystal,

     I'll do the $$ if we must, we can have the ranch mgr. hold the funds during the hunt.  We can turn out on a Friday night and hunt through the next afternoon, or something along those lines.  Are we going to judge by weight, or head count?

We'll take Chatty Cathy on our team, as he has some good dogs.  ;)



PS. There is a nice kitchen at the ranch, so you ladies can bake some cookies or something if you get tired of hunting. :o

But he will as soon as he gets in his truck to drive back home from the hunt with tail between his legs, a kleenex in his hand drying those tears, and his inspirational cd playing telling him that "he is a real man". I just talked to the ranch mgr.   He said he's fine with us using the place for out little contest.  Two ranches, right across the road from each other. We'll flip a coin before the hunt to decide what ranch each team hunts on.   Now, Mandi brought up a good point.  We can put some money on it, but were basically swapping dollars.   I say the shame in potentially losing to a bunch of women is probably expense enough for the men...

Hogs 100 over = 20 pts
Skunks = 5 pts dead, 40 pts LIVE
Coons = 5 pts
Jack Rabbits = 10 pts
Cotton Tails = 5 pts
PETA activists = 200 pts, PETA activists, tarred and feathered = 400 pts (50 pt deduction for tire marks)
Dillos = 15 pts

    I am still down to one dog, Annie and Buck went to the vet yesterday and were put on stall rest for another 6 weeks  :(   you, Steve, Chance, and Thomas will have to bring the A-team.

Ouch, my dogs are picky about who they hunt with and never at their best with new dogs (my biggest complaint with the breed). I have a couple of young dogs who are coming on strong and are far less picky though.

I'll still hunt. Been down to one dog all summer long, but it hasn't slowed me down.  If I lose, I lose....But, I'll damn sure have fun doing it. ;D

 

Oh my, look at what I've missed! Leave the boys unattended for an afternoon and they get themselves into all kinds of trouble. Because I really don't see this ending well for the guys no matter what the results are ;D

The only weekend I can't do it is Sept. 11-13. Other than that my schedule is flexible.

Of course y'all realize I have one worthless dog whose best quality is that she looks good in pink, right? I could probably steal another one or two, but considering the company, I think the ladies are covered!

Well Crystal would win the skunk contest she through a blanket over a skunk one time and brought it home she was going to have it decented and turn it into a pet....That dang skunk sprayed the whole inside of are truck it took a year to get the smell out but she has'nt leared her lesson!!!!She is the hunter of the family she does all the skinning and them squirrell dogs are hers not mine!!!!She also is a big duck hunter.......Them kids of are are dilla catching dude they got that from there momma!!!!She is the QUEEN of trash hunting!!!We went trout fishing in the bay and she caught a MULLET on artifical and he hit it with his mouth!!!!!She will aslso eat mud cat!!!!!!So I think the trash hunting is on with her thats just her game!!!!!!!!! ;D   She said you might be able to beat her at arm wrestling!!!!! ;)

i won't even touch the whole calendar thing, not gettin blasted by the ladies for that one. lol. if i could get an all girls hunt on video though, i would absolutely put it on Doggin Texas 2. that would be too cool to have on there. only problem is i'll have it finished within the next month, so time probably won't allow for it :(

that would be really cool chris. "the girls of ETHD" would be an awesome segment to have on there! of course you would have to ask the ladies how they felt about being on the Dvd though...we can't just assume they want to be  :-\
