Title: Replacing a good one Post by: LTcaughthog on January 16, 2014, 11:52:40 pm Well I recently lost my best dog buster.. and I'll tell you it's hardest thing I've encountered yet. With tournaments right about the corner and everything going on in life i just been stressed, but I did manage too find a dog that I like and that I hope suites me. I went and saw it hunt and it didn't disappoint first time in the woods. I just don't want too put too much pressure on him. I'm not one too brag about my dogs or all that.. Just want too ask y'all older dog men how y'all go about it after loosing your best dog and what too expect? I know I was sick too my stomach for a while and still am sometimes but I also know it's part of it. It crossed my mind sellin out but I love this sport to much. So just wanted too say rest in peace buster and then I hope my new boy homer works out. Got some shoes too fill bud..
This has all just been on my mind lately and I just needed too get it out there and ask for some advice.. Thanks everyone. That sums it up right there... keep hunting the rest and one will step up and fill his shoes. I've been in that situation several times over the years. Hell, I'm in it right now with everything on my yard being two and under after loosing my Hunter dog and then Tweety the year before. It's like I tell all my huntin' buddies... it's part of it.
