Title: FUR TRAPPING Post by: BLUE LACY on August 30, 2009, 12:00:15 pm Just a few of my trapline pictures thought id share. My main target animal is bobcats cause there hide is worth the most but catch all kinds of critters within the past three winters ive trapped around 30 bobcats 10 coyotes TONS of possums and alot a racoons and skunks. thanks for lookin

Wow, I don't know too many guys that actually fur trap for the money anymore except a few otter trappers. Most seem to do it for the love of it these days. What is a southern yote and a southern bobcat getting these days? Do you get much white in your bobcats? Ever choke out the cats with a catch pole, they say its super quick and does no pelt damage? How long is your trapline?

The year before last i averaged 95 dollars a piece on bobcats got only 5 for my coyotes not hardly worth skinning and 5-10 for coons and this past year i only sold cats and averaged 45 sad too see the fur market goin down but I love getting out and running my traplines. My lines usually consist of around two dozen traps in the ground through December too February and check them every day. Use mostly cat droppings i pick up off gravel roads for bait/lure and a squirt of bobcat urine on the turd
