Thats a good cross for your huntin style Monty.
I have a few of those Bennett x Tweedy pups of my own. Extremely intelligent pups. Quick learners and rougher than a bulldog. Lol
Dont let the way them Looong range Tweedy bred dogs hunt fool ya, them dogs can hood with the best of em and still get it done on the ground as well. I have one gyp that will strike off the hood and range out to 800 on the ground. Hope they turn out just like ya want.

They're just as much Buck bred pups as Tweety bred pups and there's nothing loose baying about Buck dogs.

Ahh...if it was only as easy as mixing paint...

No...Mohogger got a pair of Buck x Tweety dogs from Chris.

I'm not sure where Montys "Tweety" blood comes from.

The gyp Monty has above is a great granddaughter to Tweety/Winchester. Her dam is Molly which is a littermate to my old Hunter dog and Underdog's old Striker dog. Getlowcurs(Mike) had Molly and bred her to a brindle dog named Clyde, I think, that came from around the Lufkin area? From what I understand the pups from that litter are making good dogs...

My dogs are from Tweedy X Buck cross . They dont bay long before they grab an ear . They're catchy just smart enough to do do it from the side instead of head on.

My Bennett cur is staight no fear grab an ear and never let go kind of dog. Latches on like a bulldog. Shorter range ,extremely fast and good nose.

But in my opinion dogs will lean towards the direction they are trained  and alot of times learn things from other dogs they're being run with and thats how I trained my dogs.
The pups I have raised off of these bloodlines have been natural hogdogs and dont need much training ,just an opportunity.
