Just looking to see what works for everybody else as i have fleas bad and i just can't seem to woop them this time Sulfur, Spray, and hartz flea treatment(down thw back stuff) they just keep coming.

Use 20cc per dog once a month. You can buy the entire bottle for ~20.00
That works out to 45 doses per bottle.

Killed all the fleas on our dogs, and in the barn area.

I treated a few dogs a few months back and haven't seen a flea since. ;D

I do not treat yard because it seems like if I treat the dogs, the fleas leave the yard. I treat the dogs with Bayer Advanced tree and shrub pesticide once a month to kill the ones on the dogs. I also treat daily with Garlic Powder in their food. The Garlic does not kill the bugs but they will not bite the dogs either.

I personally feel like the constant introduction of Garlic into the dogs blood is a key in keeping fleas away between pesticide treatments.

Tea tree oil pretty good.  Add a couple drops on the dogs back every so often and the fleas and ticks will go away.  You can also soak a nylon collar in tea tree oil for long lasting effects.

Yes,  After hunting the National forest, our dogs had some forest crabs on them. I did not pull the ticks, I just retreated the dogs with the Bayer, and the dog no longer has any ticks on him.

The stuff we use (Bayer Tree and Shrub) is pretty neat. The fleas bite the dog and within about 5 minutes, they are dead. I would not have known this except that Lena the Aussie Dog lives in the house. She had managed to come in the house with some fleas from a neighbors yard. She got on the bed, and I noticed a flea dying on the sheet. Got to checking Lena over, and there were a few fleas on her - some crawling normally and some falling off dying. This turned into a 30 minute observation. I'm easily amused I guess.

I also scatter melathion (sp?) dust around my pens and on the dogs.  Not the greatest flea remedy but it is cheap and it helps.

Garlic is a great flea retardant but will also thin your dogs blood. If you run your dogs with vests you should be ok... but if you don't run vests thin blood = bleed out when your buddy gets cut down.

I've had the best luck with 7-dusting the pens and spraying the dogs with Lemon scented "Joy" dish soap and water. I take a spray bottle and fill it a 1/4 the way with the soap and the rest of the way with water. It's about as cheap as flea control gets and has worked fine for me so far.

Garlic may very well thin the blood a little but it does not thin it to the consistency of water. I have had several dogs cut in the last year, some pretty good, and none of them bled profusely due to thin blood. In fact, the difference is not noticeable by the human eye. I'm sure that it does thin the blood to some degree but that has not caused any problems for me.

Ill keep using it because I sure do like not having a flea one on my place.

 I used the bayer stuff last year and liked it. Monteria told me about it.  I think I paid @17 bucks at Wally world for it. During the warm months I also put the cattle ear tags on my lab to help. I didnt have a yard full of dogs last summer so I cant how good they worked. This summer I will put the tags along with bayer on all my dogs.

I use frontline, yeah it's expensive, (17 bucks a month for a 40-80lb dog) but it's well worth it. My bulldog Buddy has the worst allergies when it comes to flea bites, I tried for nearly 2 years of using anything but what the vets said to use and nothing worked. I finally try frontline, his hair grows back, his mood is better and he doesn't scratch. I only have 4 dogs though. I'd hate to imagine what it would cost some of yall that have 10-20 dogs.
