Title: Input on dog food Post by: Irondog87 on July 16, 2014, 09:51:52 pm Gunna try this stuff that I got from the feed store in alto. I'm closer to alto then rusk now so I want to try and see if this stuff will keep the dogs looking good like sportmix has. Same protein/fat as the blue bag I've been feeding. Anyone use this stuff? Good/bad(http://img.tapatalk.com/d/14/07/17/a5y2uryd.jpg)

Title: Re: Input on dog food Post by: Irondog87 on July 17, 2014, 12:02:28 am Good deal! Saves me about 8 miles being able to go to the local feed store rather then driving back to where I used to live. Plus they had several different types that I could choose from when the cold weather comes back.
Title: Re: Input on dog food Post by: halfbreed on July 17, 2014, 08:54:40 am yeah it's good feed , by Loan Star feeds I fed it the first two years after I moved to the Athens area . started getting a little pricey so I tried the caliber and noticed no difference except the cost lol . we bought and sold loan star feeds all my short life and it's all ways been a quality feed .
Title: Re: Input on dog food Post by: Irondog87 on July 17, 2014, 08:58:46 am Thanks halfbreed. It's cheaper then the sportmix that I've been feeding but with the same pro/fat in it. Gunna give it a try and see how it goes, portion wise with the dogs
Title: Re: Input on dog food Post by: halfbreed on July 17, 2014, 10:44:45 am yeah when I moved I was on sportmix and I switched to the star pro and just kept feeding the same can full and they maintained their condition .
Title: Re: Input on dog food Post by: Irondog87 on July 17, 2014, 12:54:09 pm Their stool looked a little runny the day after the switch but I'm thinking it's because of the change and mabe their stomachs adjusting. They seemed to like it just as much so I'll try it for a month or two and see how they do. Thanks for the input fellas
