Title: Father/daughter bulldog breeding? Post by: c dunn on November 17, 2014, 10:42:13 pm I've had a few really nice catchdogs in the past and breed the best I had. Always supplied my buddies with catchdogs. Now I'm down to a father daughter cross. I'm a fan of linebreeding curs but what can I expect doing this with pits.

Post by: WayOutWest on November 18, 2014, 12:32:13 am If they are very, very tight bred I might pass but if they are bred best to best I would not worry about it. It is done in the game dog world all the time and when that father is a good specimen you should do well.

Title: Re: Father/daughter bulldog breeding? Post by: CodysCatchdogs on November 19, 2014, 12:13:10 pm They say if you like the sire breed him to his daughter.
If you like the dam breed her to her son. I did a father x daughter breeding with 2 bulldogs of mine. Both are happy, healthy, great acting pups, even had "throw back" colors. Even tho they are father, daughter you could still have a lot of variation. If it was the last of a bloodline & I liked it a lot I would try it.

Well this is the result. Had about 7 but only 3 males made it. They seem really smart and outgoing but they're only 6 weeks old. My daughter picked this one. He's not the biggest or prettiest but you know how kids are. I will say that they seem pretty hot. You have to be heavy handed with em. They get kinda testy if they bump each other. This all started with a Colby male and a bolio female. Neither were hot and were mannered great. They would follow my horse and would not go to the bay unless I told them . I guess time will tell with these. Title: Re: Father/daughter bulldog breeding? Post by: MrsLouisianaHogDog on January 22, 2015, 11:39:18 am Nice lookin pup. Good luck with him!

He's not hot at all. Listens great with good disposition. You can also see him in my post in the dogs on hogs section. My daughter takes him everywhere.
