Thats what i've been feeding for two years. You can also get diamond high pro for about the same price as retriever. I've been mixing the two. dogs are doing great on it. Title: Re: Retriever dog food Post by: txboardog on March 27, 2008, 10:59:06 pm I fed the retriever in the blue bag for a long time its pretty reasonable and decent feed would still be feeding it but just recently found a black gold dealer close to me and with 17 dogs the black gold seems to be going further.

"plain brown food" is generally the way to go. The dyes and fancy shapes are just for your enjoyment, the dogs don't care ;D I feed the Merrick Wilderness Blend but I'm only feeding one dog so the cost isn't as important. Buying in bulk or direct drop shipping to your house from the websites can cut costs also. Some companies have a "buy 5 get 1 free" deal. |
