Title: 2015 hunts Post by: weller44 on February 12, 2015, 02:24:43 pm Haven't posted in a while and had some downtime at work so thought I'd post some pics of some of the hunts this year.
First hunt of the year I was a solo hunt with one older dog Tiger, A young gyp Girl, and cd Red Man! Struck this boar in a waller at around 500 yards off a wheat patch walked Red Man all the way In to the bay and watched for a little bit then as soon as I sent him the hog busted went about 100yds and stopped and a feeder fence where they sealed the deal! It was a great weekend full of great dog work.. I was really impressed with the string of dogs we put together and every dog and everyone came together to make a great team! We ended up with 2nd place 979lbs on top 5 Thanks again to Cole Davis, Jt Bowman, Harry Thurman and Derrick Rowell for letting me be a part of the team. Had a hell of a time! I Sent My Yella catch dog Tuff to the Boar at about 75yds to shut him down but as soon as i let him go he went right back into the thick. They went over a mile up and over a big hill before they finally got him shut down. Tuff had him caught for a pretty good while before we got another bulldog to him! He took a pretty good beating and was cut up pretty good but nothing to serious. His p&p vest saved him for sure! I anit under pressure to breed her again but when I do I want to get a good match
