Title: garmin problems
Post by: mississippi hog on September 29, 2009, 09:10:23 pm
Got a garmin dc-30.. It works great for about 3 hours then starts having trouble. It will have the dog as a ? mark on the screen but still update his movements, (It's not out of range, I can have the dog beside me) then after about an hour of this (still moving on the screen but as a ? mark) it will
stop moving. At this point we have to break out the quick track to find our dog. I can then take the collar, reset it and it goes to working like a charm.
Anybody else experience this problem?

I've never had that problem. I would contact garmin and tell them about it!

Mine did that for awhile, i took the plate off the back and cleaned the antenna, it worked great after that, also try deleting your track records it could be full causing it to have problems!!!!

One of my dogs chewed the antenna all up, I put electrical tape on it and it has been working great for months, so I guess it won't!!!

you need to reset the collar. take the baseplate off and pull the wire under it. wait about 2 minutes and plug it back up. if that doesn't work, it's probably water damage. send it in..
