Title: Beast of bardwell Post by: Judge peel on August 29, 2015, 06:38:24 am Well my sons buddy hunter was back in town from Michigan and wanted to hunt so two of his friends came along we get to the ranch drop flash lil girl and tiny got my boy Leroy the cur and tex the cd. Soon as we get ready dogs take off stayed out 600 or so for 3 hrs coming back then going back out. Not much action but they where hunting good so just kinda weighting on them to come back after the last cut corn field they did and where running around like crazy I told the boys there's one in this creek bottom some where close flash and tiny get out 300 for 20 min nothing lil girl is being her wired self and tuning 50 yards each way not knowing where to go so I saw I will pull up and catch these dogs and go home and lil girl starts spinning and take off 175 or so and flash and tiny right behind her I keep going and notice on the Garmin they are treed cut the wheeler off and they where hammering. So I cut Leroy not thinking much of it haul but over get 50 or so and hear only grunting a holler like crazy cut tex. Got this big boy in a mud hole let one of them justin bebber looking boys stab it. Kp hollers daddy come quick I see my Leroy layer out first thought was he was gone get to him he cut up bad and this dog is straight catch never been cut more than a Nic. My heart drops cuz this is my boy he was in shock I get to work on him I think he be fine but his front leg is a big ??? Momma got him a whatabuger and fries then gave him my left over 7 bone roast. I say he earned it he pretty good old dog. He laid up in Dylan's room like a pimp I went in there last night he was the bed and my boy was in the chair lol

Title: Re: Beast of bardwell Post by: l.h.cracker on September 03, 2015, 08:53:43 pm Sounds like a dog might just jump in front of a tooth every now and then in your yard just to get the royal treatment judge.
Title: Re: Beast of bardwell Post by: Nannyslayer on September 03, 2015, 09:33:44 pm Dang good hog!
Heck judge, if I ever get laid up hurt, I'm coming to stay at your house! Title: Re: Beast of bardwell Post by: Judge peel on September 03, 2015, 10:12:21 pm You know it's simple to me these dogs lay there life heart and soul on the line every hunt so we can high five brag talk smack and so on. I just give them the best I can so they know it's a two way street. Now I hear this all the time I take good care of my dog ok but few actually do. I bring my dogs in the house time to time they ride to town with me they are way more than a hog dog to me. I don't treat them as tools I don't kick my dogs to get ahead when there hurt I treat them as the warriors they are. Now they aren't the best around but they give me there best and that how I am successful. If a man loves something he cherishes it not crap on it just a thought from a simple man

Title: Re: Beast of bardwell Post by: Judge peel on September 29, 2015, 07:35:16 am He is 3 dang good dog has a awesome handle. Will catch any hog out there. Or at least give it hell he ain't never bayed a hog. He might bark hand full of times to let me no what's up. Not a rangy dog tho but I have had run a few down in a mile to mile and 1/2. That one reason I keep him on a lead buggy wheeler unless I got one of my other straight catch curs with him. He is pretty fast to he ain't for everybody but he fits me to a T
