Jim Bynum uses Airedales that bout the most off breed I seen even tho lot of fellas use them or crosses. I just like the basic dogs curs cats hounds and few bird dogs and of course the best hog dog breed out there pit bull

I started hunting a Belgian Malinois about 6 months ago. He's making a real good dog. Thinking about crossing one over to a birddog.

I have an Airedale cross, he's my lead dog at the moment, not sure what he's crossed with, maybe cat. So far he's been straight catch, I've heard he will stand back and bay if he gets whooped down

That woman posted that pic of her golden retriever on the hairy dog thread a while back, I thought that was odd

Pretty much everything has been tried here, some weird ones include dalmation, doberman, curly coated retriever. Some work, some are ok, some are great - a lot are useless.

Liefal I like that huck dog!

Thanks, he grows on me more all the time, he's a bit trashy, goes nuts over yotes and killed two skunks before he ever got me a hog, I think he was abused by his original owner, but he's shaping up. He's the strongest 70lb dog I've ever had, and has good endurance, when all the dogs are tired or overheated he's still hunting

I always thought a well bred Mal would be good, or also a big high strung Dutch shepard.

No I have not but I have studied on them the word poodle is German wich means splash. As far as I can rembrr they are water dogs meant for retrieving and multi purpose dog. Then refined for there looks

When I was in the service I spent some time in Rota Spain. One morning I watched a boy throw a stick into the ocean down by the docks. His dog was a poodle and it would go down the steps on the sea wall, swim out to the stick, and bring it back to the boy. He did this numerous times and the dog never failed to retrieve.

I figured he was part hound by his confirmation but wasn't sure, I sure do like him. He hunts pretty tight unless there's fresh sign, he will take a warm track for miles under the right conditions

My main catch dog is a lab/pit. She's caught many pigs for me and I haven't seen her thrown off a hog yet. She's been banged up pretty bad before and finished the job.

Got any pictures of the Doberman in action? I've always wanted to see how mine would react to a pig. I think they're a great multi-purpose breed.

The two dogs in the creek are one parker dog and my plot they originally trailed and bayed the hog . The other 2 is a blue healer and a chiwawaa. They belong to another man and the little chiwawaa will actually run a hog a little ways and take a hot track but I wouldn't feed it or the blue healer but it's definetly odd they was sent from the road that day  (http://uploads.tapatalk-cdn.com/20160120/3a93a5f85011bbd02e70847a06726fee.jpg)

My Hommie uses his german shepherd. High cost dog. Can strike and catch. No endurance though.
