For fleas and ticks, same active ingredient as front line. I use to use Bayer tree and shrub it had the same active ingredient as k9 advantage but it stopped working.

Don't know anything bout it but for that price might work might not I would just get comforts or nexgaurd

Been using it for five years and no fleas Cept if I pick some up from other folks dogs hunting sometimes but they don't last long here around the house if they make it back home. I dilute and use a sprayer around the runs per instructions couple times a year in got months as well. It a termitacide and they active ingredient is fipronil like in frontline. I draw it right out the bottle in a small syringe and put it directly on the dogs between shoulder blades and a small bit on too base of tail. Using the end of syringe to kinda work it in under the fur and spread slightly while I apply it.

Last year I switched to dominion 21, a concentrated termitacide as well. It's active ingredient is imidacloprid. The same active ingredient in k9 advantix.

Both these insecticides are supposed to remain active in the dirt for five years to kill termites and that obviously would help with anything else as well such as the larval form of the fleas before they morph and start sucking on the dogs as they stay in the dirt around were a flea lays it's eggs in that cycle of life
So much cheaper to by the sort of things when they aren't marketed to dogs.....same stuff but they love to jack pet owners knowing folks spend arm and leg for little fifi to pompom. Lol

Same with ivomec instead of heart guard.

That bottle would last more than three years at the dose I use on 4-5 dogs even with diluting and spraying runs occasionally in the summer.

Good to spray around permiter of house to for any other bugs.

I use food grade DE marketed for goats and live stock to dust the dogs occasionally. And put a bit inside the barrels. Tried putn it one their food some years back as an internal wormer but didn't seem to work for that like it advertised. Can buy it in 20lb sacks pretty cheap at co-ops

You can buy that same size bottle for 41$ online

We bought ours offline. Way cheaper. Pull a 3cc syringe full and put from their collar down. No problems with it

Thanks everyone, I had been using the Bayer and dominion, but seemed like the fleas were building a tolerance. On grown dogs I use 3 cc right down the back, so for the price to ratio used on a dog you can't beat it. I think I'm going to use this stuff for 3 months then switch back to the dominion for 3 months. Try to keep anything from building up a tolerance. Thanks again for all the input.

I also use bifen...I order two bottles a year and mix each bottle 50/50 when needed with yard guard and spray the whole yard, kennels and dog houses...just doing it that way has killed about every bug including all fire ants, no more mounds...I usually wait until the mosquitoes are out  before I spray the yard...super good stuff...only downside I see is it also gets the honey bees...

I worked up the calculation fir the dominion and bayer...I used a different brand...but the active ingredient is 1.47%...if that is what you have then you need to use  12 to 15 cc's (mils)...that will work on a 40-60 pound dog...when I used it that is the amount I used...ran some along the top line and rubbed some on the belly...

In the dominion 21 the active ingredient is 21.4%

Ok...big difference...

The fipronil based products (Termidor or Taurus) is real good for ticks, the Imidlaclorpid based products (Dominion) is good for fleas. I use 4cc of Termidor, only use Doninion if and when I have fleas and use 15-20cc's of it.

I used all kinds of  spray for years and it seemed to work for a short period of time and before you know it the fleas are back. I have a lot of sand in my yard and seems to keep fleas more than other soil types. I have gone to giving my dogs flea pills from the vet called confortus. I promise you that it will knock the fleas off the dogs. When you take the fleas off the dogs the fleas will leave. Dogs attrack fleas once there off the dogs you will not have fleas on the dogs nor in the yard. I have 12 head and have been been fighting the flea issue for a very long time. It's gonna cost u a lil money though $20 a head. I do mine first part of April and then in July. But the fleas go away instantly instead of wasting the time and money on spraying. Spend the extra money to get rid of them.
