Title: Catalina Wine Mixer
Post by: Hollowpoint on June 03, 2016, 09:33:04 pm
Spent the day fishing around Catalina Island yesterday with my youngest son. I got lucky and came home with a yellowtail (Hamachi) about 15 lbs and a white sea bass that went about 40 lbs.

Nice fish... are those good eating? We don't have any like that around here haha!

Both of them are some of the best out here to eat. If you go to sushi resturants and order hamachi, the yellowtail in the pic is why you'll get. The White Sea bass has thick white fillets that can be cooked any way you like, and you can't hardly mess it up.

Nice... the sea bass looks similar to the speckled trout we have here.
