Depends on where ya get one... There is so much difference in the different lines or strains of BMC dogs they dont even belong under the same title or grouping.. It Just depends on what's been bred in them over time and for what purpose they were bred. This do everything in one dog crap you read about is bullhocky. I am not speaking from a couple years lookin at it, I love a good BMC dog , wouldnt own anything else and  these dogs been in our family and used for about 40 years but they still are what they are and it is what it is.
But the bottom line..It's a mystery and boils down to opinion and guess work on what made the orginal BMC dogs.  No one  knows what's in them past the point in time they have been breeding them and what they did or saw for themself.. Even then, it depends on the history of the 2 dogs bred, where ya got em and  who's honest and who isnt. But, arent all pedigrees and registration papers no better than the man who wrote it down ?

An opinon is what it is but, If someone tells you or claims to know differently about what made the first BMC dogs... Tread lightly, they bear watchin.,
