Title: garmin long range antenea Post by: Dirtydog on October 20, 2009, 11:45:31 am has anyone used the garmin antenea on their unit ? how much difference does it make ? does it help in the hills and valleys ?

It was stormy out and dog was in a creek bottom once, other times just out of range so my vote is if a 60 dollar antenna saves a dog might as well throw it in your tracking bag or tote for the rare occation you need it and it ends up paying for itself. .02

I use mine all the time, but I got long range dogs. I have had it pick them up 3 1/2 to 4 mile away, and we was in some pretty thick stuff out in Plum Grove. jmo
