Mike, just curious.......do your strike dogs ever try and catch a boar like that?  How many do you run on the ground together?

I'm glad there wasn't a bay buster on the ground because the absolutely last thing that Daisy dog needs  is to get wrecked by a rank boar hog . Daisy got on a big boar that rocked her world and buggered her up on hogs for a while .. she's now baying agin . She would do everything but bay .. cast out and hunt by herself and with other dogs then when it came time to bay she'd leave it . I'm sure most would've culled but look at her now .

No sir, they won't try a big hog at all, just sit back and bay. I had 5 dogs on this one, they probably had him bayed for an hour before we got the bulldogs to him.  I normally run 4 on the ground... sometimes 2, sometimes 6. They usually split and end up scattered resulting in multiple bays or races.

Great way to end the season. Nice that the pup stayed bayed too.

I like when a lot of dogs can work together and not bust a hog if a hog is standing still there no use in touching the hog good hog guys

Thanks fellas, I've been real pleased with this set of dogs. I'm glad Daisy finally started baying again. She was wrecked by a boar hog at 10 months that would have ruined a lot of grown dogs. She was out for 3 months recovering, just wouldn't bay again after that... but did everything else you could ask for in a young dog.

Trophy boar!!  Especially with those big ole teeth!!

What a GREAT set of dogs too!!  The time, effort, and work you have put into that line is amazing.

Thanks Adam... I've hit some rough patches along the way, but should be set for a while.

Good for you! A lot of passion and work goes into what you do with those dogs.

Mr. Mike what size is that square tubing on your box and how tall is your rigging rack? I’m in the process of building mine and trying to go as light as possible so I’m wanting to use 3/4 square instead of bigger.

Josh, it's 3/4" tubing. I think the box is 28" high and then another 14" to the top rail where the dogs are clipped. It's nothing fancy, but I can load and unload myself... plus haul 4 on top and 4 in the box.
