Title: Couple for the young dogs Post by: t-dog on February 06, 2020, 08:36:49 pm WOW and I made a round this morning. Just took one bulldog and my 2 young dogs, 1 1/2 year olds. Cast them and they were bayed in 5 minutes. Had a good rally of hogs bayed. Send the catch dog and he catches so we run in and flush the others. The 2 youngs rolled over and bayed again about 150 or 200 yards over. The hog got away from the bulldog because he wasn't eared up. In his defense he was getting bounced in there from every direction. We got him and went the the bay and caught about 150# sow. They roll over and are bayed on the creek about 400 yards from us. When we get there, it's a good boar about 200ish and a huge sow and another sow and shoats. Send the bulldog and he got met at the front door by the big sow and the boar. He didn't win. But he got up and they caught the big sow 275ish. Pups rolled over again to .97 and bayed. We get there and it's more than one hog in some bad thick stuff. We wound up catching dogs and no hogs there. Pretty good job I thought by the young dogs. See if you can spot the dog in the last picture. That's stuff was a mess.
