Title: Bluetick Female (in tact) approx. 1-1/2 yrs Post by: 3g.southtexas on November 03, 2009, 02:41:59 pm I have had her for about 3 months and she has proven to be bred well. She has the drive/desire to work. She will really get after hogs and isn't afraid to put her mouth on a hog. The reason that I have decided to sell her is because she has opened up twice in the dog box right before my strike dogs stopped/bayed up. I am confident that this dog will prove herself as a hog dog or as any type of hunting dog for that matter - with the proper training and time. I have only used her as a help dog up to this point... only letting her out of the dog box along with my other help dogs after the strike dogs have bayed. She will definitely honor a bay and works very well when she gets there. She hasn't opened up on track yet but I can't say that she won't -I have just never run her on the ground. With all of that said, I can not say if she is broke or not.
