1  THE CLASSIFIEDS / THE DOG TRADE / parker-type cur on: May 23, 2018, 10:53:47 am
1.5yr old cur dog for sale. Male, intact black and tan cur from a parker cur type line. Been on 20+ hunts. Will run to a bark and help bay. Will run with lead dog and run his own hogs in hot sign. He has found his own in the woods before but more of a help dog.  Very friendly and obedient, quiet in the kennel.  I've got more dogs than time to hunt at the moment. $150.  Text me if interested and I'll call you after 5pm.

Silverton, enjoyed your story, I have a staghound dogo cross that I think is similar to what you are running. Smart running catch dog, will pack up with my cur dog for a mile or so to catch, hunts a little like a cur on hot scent. Good dogs!

New design looks good, here is a suggestion For the dog trade:

Searchable "tags" of some kind for the buyer and a form with blanks to fill in for the seller

For example:
location/breed/age/sex/function(Ex: catching, baying, RCD, Finder/holder)

And then the usual descriptions of how they hunt, breeding, experience, ect in a comments blank or something.

Look at: http://m.petfinder.com/pet-adoption

Thanks guys those all look like solid vests that fit well. Centex, as you have had all three, do you have a preference? Is the pigga frigga mostly seatbelt webbing or is it a cordura type material?

Here is my dog Wolf by the way.

Also, has anyone ever clipped a long haired stag down?

Mine is strait catch as well so I definitely need a vest. I thought you were going to say the Australian style plates. I have seen pigga frigga and hairy holders on old posts and it seemed like these were made or at least distributed in the us. Can you get them in the us or did you import?

I like the breast plates, the range of motion and fit clearly look better but I am wary of the seatbelt material. A hunting partner of mine has one built for a Pitt and it is much heavier when wet than cordura and viper cloth. I hunt in LA so swimming is expected on hunts

Do either of you run vests on your stags and if so what do you use? I just got a 3 yo stag that is long and lean and I was wondering what would fit him/allow him to move
