1  HOG & DOGS / GENERAL DISCUSSION / Re: Anybody ever hunted with Jacob Ard? on: October 02, 2014, 05:27:58 am
I've seen her hunt. I'd give way more than that for her. She's the best I've been around.
2  THE CLASSIFIEDS / THE DOG TRADE / Parker X Sizzlin' Heat Plott Pups & German Short-Hair Pups! on: November 15, 2013, 04:28:07 pm
I have two litters of fine pups that are just about ready to go. One litter is 1/2 Parker cur and 1/2 Sizzlin' Heat Plott. The father is Doug Eddins's Parker dog from Silsbee and the mother is my Sizzlin' Heat Plott. They're awesome brindle dogs but I'm only going to have one available to sell out of that litter. The other litter is 1/4 Parker cur, 1/4 Sizzlin' Heat Plott and 1/2 German Short-hair Pointer. I have 5 available to sell out of this litter. The father is my Boudreaux dog and the mother is my GSP. The pups were born the 17th of October and are already eating food and baying each other. They'll be 6 weeks on Thanksgiving. All are amazing dogs in the woods that start early and are very long range with incredible drive and good noses for winding and trailing. I hunt them all out of the truck or boat or puting them on a track. You can call or text me at 409-658-4136. My e-mail address is NechesBobcat@gmail.com. I'm located in Silsbee, Tx. I'm asking $300 for the pups.

This is a video of my Boudreaux dog and the GSP when she was 4 months on the first hog she ever saw.

This is my dog Boudreaux. 1/2 Plott and 1/2 Parker. He's the best dog I've ever seen in the woods. I was hunting him when he was 4 months old and he has been blowing my mind ever since. I can tell you tons of hunting stories about him outdoing other dogs. He has absolutely no interest in other dogs and zero agression. If I could clone him, I'd make a thousand of him and there wouldn't be a hog left.

This is my GSP the day the pups were born. I was hunting her at 4 months and she's amazing. She hunts hard by herself or with other dogs and will cover some serious ground. She finds hogs when they're bedded up on cold days and haven't been moving.

This is one of the pups that has the GSP look.

Three more of the pups. They're hard to get a picture of. There were three that look like the father and five that look like the mother.

3  GENERAL CATEGORY / HUNTING AND FISHING / Re: East Texas bowfishers on: June 20, 2013, 01:08:51 pm
I've done it some (mostly just drove the boat) but I'm getting into pretty serious now. Got a lot of places to go.
4  HOG & DOGS / HOG HUNTING CONTESTS / Ultimate Hunting Championship for Southeast Texas on: June 20, 2013, 01:00:03 pm
Just wanted to throw this out there in case y'all haven't heard about it yet. It's gunna be a ton of fun and there's a real good chance you can win some serious cash while hunting this year and possibly end up rich and famous! There are seventeen different ways to win at least $1,000 dollars and up to $12,000 just for hunting. Only counties that most of us are from are eligible. There are several different categories for deer and one for biggest alligator gar. By the way, I am in no way getting paid or even patted on the back to promote it but I'd like to see it do good. It's making me get excited about this hunting season.

Here's their website:
http://ultimatehuntingchampionship.com/

And here's there Facebook page:
https://www.facebook.com/UltimateHuntingChampionship

Go like their page and tell them I sent you and neither of us will win anything that I know of but it's gunna be fun.

I've got an awesome Plott x Parker dog I'm going to cross with an awesome pointer. I think it'll be a great cross.
6  HOG & DOGS / GENERAL DISCUSSION / Re: East tx natl. forest? on: June 02, 2013, 11:47:36 pm
I've been around a lot of it off 255 and 63 but never saw any hog sign. I think they like thicker woods and most of that is wide open.
7  HOG & DOGS / GENERAL DISCUSSION / Re: sportmix dog food on: May 18, 2013, 10:31:34 am
I haven't noticed a difference in the smell but it definitely tastes different. They're slightly saltier.
8  HOG & DOGS / GENERAL DISCUSSION / Re: I've Got An Awesome Finished Dog!! on: May 18, 2013, 05:57:59 am
Only reason I said that is to make a point that you're always going to have a hard time buying a finished dog. Too many people always complaining that someone sold them a dog that wasn't perfect.

Y'all may notice that I haven't been on here since I started this thread. It's because I've been too busy catching hogs!

Mike, I'll always take someone up on a hunt. I love seeing knew places.
And I can't ever get a good picture of my dogs cause they're usually always GONE HUNTIN!!!
9  HOG & DOGS / GENERAL DISCUSSION / Re: Pistol question? on: May 12, 2013, 12:18:20 pm
It's impossible to go wrong with a 1911. I've got a few Kimbers and Colts. Would love to have an STI. They've been tested and proven for over 100 years.
10  HOG & DOGS / HOG DOGS / Re: Rat Terrier Pups on: May 12, 2013, 12:14:18 pm
I've got a jam up rat terrier that would love the opportunity to make some pups. It would keep him from humping everything else for a little while.
11  HOG & DOGS / GENERAL DISCUSSION / I've Got An Awesome Finished Dog!! on: May 12, 2013, 11:53:40 am
Just thought I'd let y'all know. He's not for sale or anything. Just an Awesome dog.
12  HOG & DOGS / GENERAL DISCUSSION / Re: Pistol question? on: May 12, 2013, 11:50:28 am
I've got a little bit of everything and always stayed away from cheap stuff but a buddy of mine bought me a Hi-Point 45 and I have tried to wear it out and can't do it. It's accurate and has never jammed. I let me wife and grandma use it when they got their CHL and they both did awesome and neither of them had had any practice. Considering how cheap they are, you really can't say that it's a poor investment.
13  HOG & DOGS / GENERAL DISCUSSION / Re: Looking for pup on: May 11, 2013, 09:57:02 am
Where does he live and how old is he? I'd be willing to take him huntin if he's not too far. I had plenty of good influences in my life to be thankful for and I hate to see someone go through life without any.

15  HOG & DOGS / HOG DOGS / Re: Best line of dogs. on: April 29, 2013, 11:46:58 pm
My second oldest dog Chockie was my first planned hog dog. He was out of some good dogs but he was never really a motivated or long range dog when he was younger. It was perfect for the way I hunted at the time.

I eventually got more land to hunt and started getting introduced to longer ranging dogs. That's when I fell in love with Parkers and Plott hounds.
16  HOG & DOGS / HOG DOGS / Re: Best line of dogs. on: April 29, 2013, 11:41:08 pm
I have 5 different dogs that I would say were all the best but for different types of hunting. When they're all together, they're unstoppable.

My oldest and most ferocious and experienced dog is actually my rat terrior Woody. I got him years ago just because I wanted a good squirrel dog and an old man I know said he should make a good ond. He squirrel hunts like a champ but if a hog crosses his path... shame on him. I used to catch some bad hogs with just him that other dogs had just passed up because he loves crawling in tight places and checking everything out. I will still bring him at night some times but I don't usually bring him during the day because of squirrels.

My second oldest dog Chockie was my first planned hog dog. He was out of some good dogs but he,was never

Funniest thing I've had happen was my dogs ran one into a guys backyard and had it bayed by his porch. Luckily I knew him and he thought it was funny. I was hunting on some government land one time and the dogs ran one through a campground and playground. Had one bayed up by an old fireplace/chimney that was left from an ole house.
18  HOG & DOGS / GENERAL DISCUSSION / Re: Frezze branding???? on: April 29, 2013, 03:28:37 pm
Cliff Brown in Spurger does them.
19  HOG & DOGS / GENERAL DISCUSSION / Re: Freeze branded dog infection? on: April 29, 2013, 03:25:37 pm
Who was it that made custom brands real cheap? I was going to get one a while back and never got around to it.
