HOG & DOGS / GENERAL DISCUSSION / Re: HELP!!! Flea infestation

Thanks so much for the info. I have spent well over $100.00 on chemicals for the yard and the house in the past 2 weeks. Before we started spraying, it was nothing to walk thru the house in socks and find a countless number of fleas on our feet. I would highly reccommend the Tempco but it will not kill the eggs so it needs to be sprayed 1-2 times a week for a couple of weeks.
They claim the I G regulator will kill eggs but after two bottles we noticed very little change. The Tempco is $50.00 a bottle but will make about 300 gallons of mix. You should move your dogs around as you spray their areas.
I love Adams and I am getting a new bottle tomorrow as I am about out of it now. I just got done bathing all the dogs in Skip flea and tick shampoo and that seemed to kill the fleas on contact. They reccomend treating about once a week. Thanks so much again for the info.

HOG & DOGS / GENERAL DISCUSSION / HELP!!! Flea infestation

This is the worse I have seen it around my house in 10 years. I have fleas all over the place. I have sprayed some stuff called I G Regulator( I think is what it is called), another liquid called Tempco SC Ultra, and just got done with a bottle of Liquid Seven. I have 3 grown dogs, 2 pups at 5months and 8 pit pups at 3 weeks old.
The inside is about 95% flea free. The outside is getting there but all the dogs are covered. I am spraying all the dogs with Adams with the exception of the pups. I tried a white vineger/ water solution on them based off internet info that made the fleas jump ship but didn't seem to hurt them. They came right back. I sprayed the pit pups last night with Adams for the 1st time and killed alot of fleas but this morning they are back on the pups thick.
Will the Adams hurt the pups?
Is there anything I can use on the pups that won't hurt them?

I took one of my pups out today to see if she would show some interest. The pups name is Cindy aka Psycho Cindy. Her mom, Psycho Sadie is my main catch dog. Her dad Jake is a 5/8 catahoula and 3/8 pitxcur. I was hoping she would do some baying since she is young. I got a hog that weighs about 70 pounds. Cindy is about 30-35 pounds. I also took Jewell who is fast becoming a jam up bay dog. This boar is well over twice her weight and 3-4 times her size. This was the 1st hog she has ever seen.

Skipper's hogs are mentioned in the Bible, they had demons cast into them.
They didn't last long in the Bible. They ran into the sea and drowned. This was the 1st known case of pork canned in water. Sorry, couldn't resist.

Skipper had a pen several years ago. I ran there some but was just getting into the bay pen idea. I am glad to see him getting back into it. Especially since I am about 10 minutes from his place.

THe responses I'm reading are interesting to say the least and I really see no point in going on.
However I will say this... The main problem with what is going on here is that hogs are coming from various locations that may have diseases and are being turned loose next door to me. Once I thought that practise was no big deal. I have a very good freind that is a taxidermist. He litterly almost died a few months ago from brucellosis and typhoid. He will be sick the rest of his life and its not like I expect anyone to care about it but I feel this is a pratice(the release of pigs in other areas) that should not go on.
