I went and looked at the pioneer yesterday and I was not impressed by the design. Zero storage aside from the drink holders in the doors. I looked at a four seat model and the bed and rear doors looked like they would rattle a lot in a short period of time. I do like shaft drive and the potential to manually shift gears on the 1000cc model. The 700 also didn't have tilt steering or the ability to haul three wide in the front seat and they still put the motor under the front seat which can really make for a hot seat in the summer.
Polaris seems to be a better laid out machine in my opinion. Now just to decide on the 570 or bite the bullett and get the 900.

How do y'all like the ride of the pioneer? I had a 2010 ranger 900 and I absolutely loved the way it rode. Do all the pioneeres have the seats in the bed? I do like the idea of having the extra passenger space.

Who's bought a new machine in the last six month to a year that is really happy with what they bought? I'm looking at a 2015 570 full size ranger but I'd like to hear any other suggestions. Thanks

If anyone is missing a dog between Bryan and Hearne I just saw one running down the shoulder of hwy 6. White and brindle with a cut collar and two tracking collars. Very near the spring creek area north of the fractech yard.

Thank y'all for the info. I really like the honda and need to go look at one and sit in it. I need to haul my wife and son and both my wife and I are pretty tall so leg room is important. I'm looking for a smooth ride and enough power and speed to run down the county road when needed. Use mainly just for hauling the family around and spraying fences feeding cows etc. Thank y'all for the input!

Sorry to hear that Mike. I only hunted with him a few times but I remember going on multi hour hike to catch up to him and a couple others when he was barely eight months old. Knew he was the kind then. Did you ever breed him?

I was able to visit with this man on the phone earlier today and while I don't know him he seems like a very nice man. Bound to be some good people in that part of the world that would let him tag along during the cooler months. At 72 years old I don't think he's going to be trying to backdoor anyone or get over on somebody, most on here could likely learn a little from him. Good luck finding a few good friends and remember that it never hurts to have a few extra hands in the woods. Take Care Matt

Going in August I am afraid most of what I'm going to see will be standing corn but hopefully I can catch a glimpse of a few old farm houses and equipment etc. I look forward to seeing the scenery along the way. Going to try to knock out 550 miles a day and do it in two days each way. Going to be a long drive but I hate flying and I like to see the countryside.
