I have not been on for a while and when I saw this topic again about the flounder and gigging...well, I took my grandson to the Sea Center in Lake Jackson and went on the tour of the hatchery's. We got to see all the fish from eggs up to big reds, the trout and they have just started to reproduceing  flounder...It was pretty neat to see and learn especially what the eye on the red fishes tail meant..Just FYI if you ever get to Brazoria county that is a neat place to take your kids and grandkids to see and learn about fish.....I'm sure they have places like the Sea Center  :)in other place in the state....good learning experience for all... Guess we need to check that one out. I love to gig and don't want to get into any trouble over it. Did he say when this was starting? Sad

When I had chickens the rooster would get out of the coop and walk the yard and he thought he was really something. He never got around the hunting dogs but my jack russell would give him heck... It's worth the trouble if you like fresh yard eggs.  Smiley
